Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced the Ramadan 8070 2025 rescue package, an initiative of 20 billion rupees to support low -income families through Pakistan before the sacred month of Ramzan.
The program aims to provide 4 million eligible families with cash assistance of 10,000 rupees, as well as subsidies on essential foods, thanks to a rationalized digital distribution system. This system is designed to replace long queues in public service stores that have been observed before during Ramadan.
Two -level rescue initiative
The 8070 Ramadan relief package consists of two components:
Assistance in cash: eligible families will receive 10,000 rupees with direct financial assistance to help household expenditure during Ramadan.
Subsidy ration: discounts will be offered on essential foods, including flour, sugar, legumes, ghee and rice.
To qualify for the Ramzan 8070 rescue package, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Eligibility criteria for Ramadan Rescue
Be registered as part of the Benazir income support program (BISP) or the EHSAAS program.
Do not receive financial assistance from another government rescue program.
Have a valid computerized national identity card (CNIC).
Recording process
Eligible individuals can apply via the official PSE portal by entering their CNIC phone number and filling out the registration form. Alternatively, candidates can send their CNIC number via SMS to 8070 to verify eligibility and receive other instructions.
Dispress of funds
To ensure a smooth distribution of funds, the government has introduced several disbursement channels:
- Banking transfers: Funds will be directly transferred to accounts in HBL, UBL and Bank Alfalah.
- Mobile portfolios: beneficiaries can access funds via easypaisa and jazzcash.
- Centers of the EHSAAS program: Those without bank accounts can perceive their help in designated EHSAAS centers.
- Union council offices: final verification and fundraising are available in local government offices.
The government has urged eligible families to complete their registration as soon as possible to avoid delays in receiving aid. As the registration deadline approaches, early registrations are encouraged to ensure the timely disbursement of funds.
In an official press release, the Prime Minister’s office stressed: “The Ramadan 8070 rescue package is designed to facilitate the financial burden of families in difficulty and ensure that they have access to essential food supplies during Ramzan.”

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, speaking during the Ramadan Package in the Federal Capital Ceremony, revealed that this year, four million families (around 20 million people) will receive 5,000 rupees per household through a digital portfolio.
He thanked Allah and said: “This year, inflation during Ramadan is lower compared to previous years. The government has allocated a significant amount of 20 billion rupees for the Ramadan package, which will benefit 4 million Pakistani households.”
