One of the biggest events of the National Hunt season takes place here, as Boxing Day horse races take place across the country.
The big race of the day is the King George VI Chase (2:30 p.m. GMT) at Kempton Park. Gaelic Warrior and Fact To File headline the main event in their rematch following the former’s narrow victory at Punchestown in November. Don’t overlook Nicky Henderson’s Jango Bay either, who should be strong in the market.
Elsewhere, one of the biggest talking points comes during the Christmas Hurdle (1:55 p.m. GMT), as Sir Gino makes his highly anticipated return. The five-year-old has not played since winning against Ballyburn at Kempton last Christmas and will aim to overcome a relatively weak field this Friday.
The Kauto Star Novices’ Chase (1:20 p.m. GMT), run by Coral Cup winner Jimmy Du Seuil, and the Formby Novices’ Hurdle (1:05 p.m. GMT) are two other big races to watch.
