Bravo’s long-running cooking competition, Top Chefreturns for a 23rd season with Top Chef: Carolinestaking the culinary battle to the American South.
This season, the chefs will travel to the culinary hub of Charlotte, North Carolina, with several episodes also filming in Greenville, South Carolina. That means there will be plenty of challenges focused on Carolina ingredients, inspirations from Southern cuisine, and several outdoor and agriculture-based tasks.
Fifteen “cheftestants” will compete through various Quickfire challenges, immunities and eliminations for a grand prize of $250,000, a feature of Gastronomy and wine magazine and other cash prizes totaling more than $150,000. The winner will also have the opportunity to participate in the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, host a headlining dinner at the James Beard House, and present at the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards.
Plus, for the first time ever, this year’s lineup features two identical twins (Brandon Dearden and Jonathan Dearden) and life partners (Jennifer Lee Jackson and Justin Tootla) competing against each other.

Who are the hosts and judges of season 23 of Top Chef?
Top Chef season 10 winner Kristen Kish returns as host, alongside head judge Tom Colicchio and culinary expert Gail Simmons. Guest judges, such as Emeril Lagasse, Liza Koshy, Fortune Feimster and Danielle Brooks, will also make special appearances to spice up the competitions.
