- HP introduced the Omnibook 5 series, using Qualcomm Snapdragon processors
- Omnibook 5 14 and Omnibook 5 16, present OLED screens
- They should both be available in July
Computex 2025 is on track, which means that there are many new technologies ranging from new office PC equipment to portable devices – and we have a new range for the latter which intends to improve productivity.
HP announced its new Omnibook 5 series, with the Omnibook 5 14 inch and laptops omnibook 5 16 inch Provide significant jumps in the treatment power (using Snapdragon X Plus and the X chips) and visual quality; More importantly, HP claims that its new series has “the longest life of the battery life in the world in a PC laptop for consumption”.
According to the HP blog, each laptop will offer up to 34 hours of autonomy, which should guarantee consumers the best party of its activities. When performing the battery, you can go back to speed with HP Fast load, which invoices you up to 50% in just 30 minutes.
These impressive claims may not be a surprise, because the Snapdragon processors of Qualcomm are ideal for the efficiency of the battery, offering exceptional performance which competes with some of the chips based on Apple while ensuring that the life of the battery is at its best.
It should also be noted that the two laptops will have OLED screens, capable of providing excellent image quality thanks to deep black levels from a high contrast ratio. This will be ideal for video content, including creative tasks that require great color accuracy – and this is also supported with a range of 95.3 DCI -P3 colors and a response time of 0.2 ms.
The greatest point culminating here, beyond power and capacities, is perhaps the price. The OMNIBook 14 HP should be launched in July, from $ 799 via the HP online store. Its counterpart, HP Omnibook 16, should also be launched in July, from $ 849 – and both are affordable prices, given the advantages available here.
Oled is all I need …
At these requested prices, OLED laptops who have great autonomy and performance is all that I need – and that is why I think this new Omnibook 5 series is worth keeping an eye.
Despite the concerns of the fringes of burn-in and text (which have been improved with the new generation OLED screens), the use of an OLED screen alone raised my pleasure during the game and watching movies. And if you are lucky like me, you will not really notice text fringes when you work.
In my review Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x, I highlighted how it was one of the best OLED screens that I have ever seen; I will not be surprised if I end up saying the same thing about HP’s new Omnibook series.
With the affirmations of battery life that competes with other Snapdragon laptops, it is obvious from $ 749 – and the Snapdragon X Plus (8 core version) has 45 NPU summits for AI applications and tasks.
We will have to wait for the performance of the real world performance, but stay on the world and consult our blog live Computex 2025 to keep an eye on more details.
