- Google Beam’s first compatible material comes from HP, and it costs $ 25,000
- You will always have to pay separately for a Google license
- HP also has new microphones for your daily video calls
HP shared more details on the very first 3D video communication solution for companies, co-developed with Google Beam, because it seems that the holographic video conference calls for a reality.
Formerly known as Project Starline, the new named “HP Dimension With Google Beam”, uses the Google platform, which promises 3D video calls without glasses or necessary helmets.
HP says workers could see a 28% increase in memory recall when they spoke to colleagues using Google Beam, while benefiting from 39% in addition.
HP dimension
HP says that technology offers realistic depth, color and presence in individual virtual meetings.
The equipment consists of six high -speed cameras, adaptive lighting and space audio to create life -size imaging with natural visual contact on a 65 -inch bright field display – this means that users will not need to use helmets or glasses, as they would with an Apple Vision Pro.
From the launch, the technology supports Zoom Rooms and Google Meet, but it also offers interoperability with the Microsoft and Webex teams, covering most of the bases.
There are certain limits, however, for example Google Beam requires a simple white background for optimal performance and realistic projections.
Then there is the price. At $ 24,999, this is not a cheap kit, and companies will require separate licenses for Google Beam technology – an essential tool for unlocking equipment capabilities. Salesforce and Deloitte are among the first corporate customers engaged in the HP dimension with Google Beam.
A launch later in 2025 will see units arriving in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Japan.
In the same breath, HP also triggered the envelopments of its new audio bridge and Audio Audio A2 A2 microphone for improved communications and interactions through more conventional video calls.
With the management of the marguerite chain for up to eight microphones, Noiseblockai for the removal of the smart background sound and simple integration with other Poly studio equipment, pre-orders open this month for shipping in September 2025, with prices from $ 549 and $ 329 respectively.
