The rumors around an air of the iPhone 17 swept for months at this stage, but we have just received new information on this super vintage phone, which is set to replace the iPhone 16 Plus – including the potential return of a retired Apple accessory.
According to a new report in the information (via 9TO5MAC), Apple plans to publish an optional accessory at the same time as the air of the iPhone 17: a case with an integrated battery. It is apparently a question of compensating for deficits in the lifespan of the Iphone 17 air battery.
You may remember that at the time, Apple made a case of intelligent battery for its iPhones. However, as Magsafe and its wireless load were introduced with the iPhone 12, the battery case was interrupted.
Now it seems that it can come back. Sources that talk about information indicates that the iPhone 17 air thinness means that it only lasts one day without recharge for 60 to 70% of users – while for other models, it looks more like 80 to 90%.
Esims and speakers
The battery life is however not the only concern around the air of the iPhone 17. The report in the information also suggests that there is no space for a physical sim card, so it will be ESIM all along – which can cause problems with regulators in China.
In addition, there will only be room for a speaker on the device, which can have an impact on sound quality. We have already heard these two rumors, around ESIM and the president, and we have more inclined to believe them now, they have been repeated.
It should be a year for the iPhone Apple. We have already had a new model in the form of Apple’s iPhone 16th, and later in the year with the air, we will get another new model that does not really have a direct predecessor.
