Hulk Hogan’s heritage remembers Dana White

Dana White, the president and chief executive officer of the UFC, recalls the Hulk Hogan professional wrestling icon Thursday evening after her death in Florida.

White appeared on “Jesse Watters” by PK Press Club Channel and thought about Hogan’s appearance at the National Republican Convention. He said he was in a detention room with Kid Rock waiting to go on stage when Hogan asked to speak to him.

“Hulk Hogan caught me and asked me if he could speak to me privately for a second,” said White. “And he withdrew me, and I will never forget this conversation that we had tonight.

“He was a good man. He was special. He loved the president and, obviously, he loved America.”

White paid tribute to Hogan, Muhammad Ali, Don King and the world of combat sports and sports entertainment of that time for helping to shape what the UFC is today.

“The way the UFC is today and the things I have done to build everything have a small piece of all these guys and their businesses,” added White.

Clearwater police said they had been called upon for a cardiac arrest at Hogan’s home. The professional wrestler was transported to the hospital and died about an hour later. Hogan was 71 years old.

The death of Hogan has sent undulations around the world of sports entertainment. White was only one of the dozens of people who paid tribute to the WWE icon throughout the day.

“WWE is saddened to learn the WWE renown temple, Hulk Hogan has died,” WWE said in a statement. “One of the most recognizable figures in pop culture, Hogan helped WWE obtain global recognition in the 1980s.

“WWE has its condolences to the family, friends and fans of Hogan.”

A statement was published on Hogan’s Instagram page.

“It is with a heavy heart and a deep sadness that we confirm that we have lost a legend,” said the post. “Our beloved Terry Bollea, known worldwide under the name of Hulk Hogan, has died today surrounded by his relatives.

“At that time of sorrow, we ask everyone to respect the intimacy of his family and friends. May we all take comfort in the wonderful memories he left for millions of fans in the world of which he touched life for more than four decades. He will miss, but never forgotten.”

Hogan was a larger than life character who changed the professional struggle several times; First of all, when he criticized Andre the giant of Wrestlemania III, and once again, when he turned fans of struggle and aligned himself on the new world order in the fight of the world championship.

He was a six-time WWE champion, won the Royal Rumble twice and was inducted into the WWE renown temple as an individual in 2005 and as a member of the NWO in 2020. He was also a world heavyweight champion six times in WCW and the IWGP champion in New Japan Pro-Wrestling once.
