- De’Longhi has launched a new manual espresso machine, the Linea Classic
- He has everything you expect from an entry -level machine at a budgetary price
- It’s now in the United States; We are still waiting for international prices and dates
DE’LONGHI launched a new espresso machine without compact, beautiful frills and has a remarkably affordable price.
The De’Longhi Linea Classic is now available from retailers, including Amazon and Crate & Barrel, for an early price of $ 179.95 (around £ 140 / $ 290 in). The regular price will be $ 199.95 (around £ 150 £ / 320 in), but DE’LONGHI has not yet announced international prices and availability.
Most of the best coffee makers I tested this year have been cup automated machines with extras like automatic milk foam and cold brewing – and price labels that many coffee lovers will find prohibitive. It is therefore refreshing to see an espresso machine that simply focuses on the basics, at a very reasonable price.
The De’Longhi Linea Classic has all the features that you expect from an entry -level espresso machine, including a 15 bars pump (with a stainless steel pressure gauge so that you can look at the profile while your espresso is extracted), an adjustable height tray to accommodate different cups and an adjustable steam barracks.
Everything you need, nothing you don’t have
It is also a compact machine, measuring only 12 x 8.89 x 11.14 inches / 30.5 x 22.6 x 29cm (H x W x D). It is quite small to store even on a small kitchen counter – and because its case is made of stainless steel rather than plastic, it should seem much more expensive than it really is.
It certainly seems attractive, and if he keeps his promises, he could even correspond to the superb Breville Bambino as the best compact espresso machine. This is a major challenge – the bambino is the entry -level machine recommended by many professionals – but I have great hopes.
We should get our hands on De’Longhi Linea Classic to test soon, and we will bring you a complete examination once we had the chance to test it.
