Robot Vacuum Wopping Tech becomes more and more advanced, but the new Dreame bot has a particularly extensive cleaning configuration. The Matrix10 Ultra comes with an entire range of cleaning kit and cherry picking the right tools for the specific task to be accomplished.
I had the chance to check it in person yesterday, and I am in equal parts impressed and intimidated. As far as I know, it is the only emptiness of the robot to offer this type of configuration, and on a market filled with copying robots, it is unusual. If you have a lot of hard work and you need something that can offer personalized cleaning, it might be the best vacuum of the robot for you.
First of all, there are three different Pad Mop options. This bot uses the popular double-rotation disk style configuration, but the pads themselves are designed to adapt to different scenarios.
There is a cushion with rude nylon hair strips among the softer curls, designed to tackle fat or heavy spots. It would be well suited to cleaning the kitchen, for example. There is also a stamp with a sponge layer inside to increase absorption. This is an excellent choice for bathrooms, where there could be an excess water that needs to clean.
Finally, there is the standard option, which, according to Drene, has a kind of thermal properties which allow it to “maintain a coherent temperature for improved cleaning”. I am not entirely sure of what it means, which is why I quote the press release from you.
A number of Dream robots vacuum cleaners have magnetic pads that can be picked up for cleaning, then fell on the platform when they are not necessary, so you don’t have to worry about the wet pads entering with your carpets. The Matrix10 Ultra uses the same configuration, but the mechanism by which it exchanges its mops is particularly cool.
The pairs of pads are stacked against the interior of the dock. A sort of mop cart, on roller tracks, picks up the correct pads, then whistles on a ramp, slides into the space where the bot will moor and place the pads in the base, ready to fix below the vacuum of the robot.
Friction solutions
Several pads are not the extent of the MOP tips of the matrix10. It is also delivered with three different ground cleaning solutions for different types of damage: one general, plus a specialist for pet smells and another for wooden floors.
Again, you can specify the solution to use in each room. The solutions are all housed on the platform and accessible by a side door. I could not take a look, because the bot must apparently be loaded to access this compartment (odd), and the display model was not.
The slight drop to get a whole public cleaning service in a Robovac platform is that said quay ends up being rather voluminous, but that is how things seem to go for modern robot vacuum cleaners.
