Apple TV + has announced a new series of Break the bad Creator Vince Gilligan, but we know almost nothing about it. We first heard of the new series through an article on social networks of a smiling face in a dish of Petri, we then had our first (very vague) look at what was revealed to be called Pluribus After a false countdown was published online. While we know that the show will showcase Rhea Seehorn, that I can now assume that I will play a woman called Carol (more about it later), what Pluribus is actually almost open to interpretation.
Here is an overview of what we see in the seconds Pluribus teasing. He opens with a wide blow of what seems to be a prison with a standing guard in the frame, then zooms in for a look closely on the guard by licking the donuts, then placing them in a box. Connecting to the image of the original Teaser shared on Social beforehand, which featured the slogan “ Happiness is contagious ” accompanied by a petri box containing a smiling face, we see a sign that reads “help yourself” with the same smiling face.
And that is literally everything we know … so far. Apple TV + has published a phone number without explanation, showing Carol invited to call it under “no pressure”. It is not even a message intended for me, but I couldn’t help but call it to find out more. What I found, surprisingly, was even more shocking and confusing than what I had already seen.

I took the burden so that you don’t have to do it. If you were to call the phone number of the announcement above, here is exactly what you will hear:
It starts: “Hi Carol. We are so happy that you have called. We are looking forward to you to join. Cons up 0 and we will answer you with SMS.” Obviously, I’m not Carol, but I composed “0” to get the next part of the message.
“Please know that your life is yours, Carol. You have an agency!” (Again, my name is not Carol.) “That being said, answer yes to register for the Appletv + updates and accept our conditions of use and our privacy policies. Freq varies, consent and not a purchase condition, mSg and data speeds apply. Respond to cancel, help with help.”
A little more boring, but even for a fictitious marketing cascade, Apple must be its T&C for SMS marketing. I replied “yes” and I got this answer:
“You must have so many questions for us! Understand, we only want to get happy. We will be in contact. Text stop to stop, help with help.”
So Logic tells me that I will hear the mysterious Pluribus voice at some point in the future. What he will say, I don’t know. When it happens, I can’t say it. Who is Carol? Maybe I will never discover it. Maybe she never recalled the number. Maybe I’m Carol and my parents read my birth certificate.
Currently, the only index of what is happening on Earth is the title itself. “Pluribus” is a Latin word meaning “a lot” or “more”. It is the most famous in the expression “E Pluribus Unum”, which results in “among many, one”. If we apply this to what we have seen, Carol is our only one … But one of what, we have no idea.
I would bet money that Apple TV + and Gilligan go to this marketing campaign as much as they can. Obviously, I will make a part of it directly sent, and I do not know if I should laugh or cry in anticipation.
