A joint investigation team (JIT) at Lahore recognized Khawaja Aqeel alias Gogi Butt guilty in the very publicized murder of Ameer Balaj Tipu, he emerged on Tuesday.
According to Jit’s sources, Gogi Butt played a decisive role in the murder orchestration, the maintenance of communication with the main accused, Khawaja Tareef alias Teef Butt and other accomplices. He had already been involved in several cases involving the Tipu family.
The JIT intends to request the cancellation of Gogi Butt’s deposit at a next court hearing.

Ameer Balaj Tipu was killed on February 19, 2024, during a wedding ceremony in the Lahore chuhung region. The striker, identified as Muzaffar Hussain, a former man armed with Teefi Butt, shot Balaj Tipu on a longtime quarrel. Muzaffar was killed immediately after the attack.
The surveys revealed that Hsan Shah, a close partner of the deceased, had provided critical information to the attackers, facilitating murder. Ahsan Shah was then killed during an alleged meeting.

Earlier, Muhammad Javed Butt, the brother-in-law of Teefi Butt, was shot down near the underground passage of the Muslim city in Lahore. The case has drawn significant attention due to the involvement of influential figures and the complex network of relationships and rivalries in the region.
