- Mammotion unveiled a new flagship LUBA 3 AWD series
- Delivers positioning accuracy of ±1cm via an enhanced LiDAR, RTK and Vision navigation system
- Also makes decisions almost instantly thanks to a 10 TOPS AI chip
I’m at CES 2026, where Mammotion unveiled its 2026 range of autonomous robot lawn mowers. The LUBA 3 AWD series is at the top of the range and is one of the most efficient lawn robots on the market.
We cover all the latest CES news of the show as it happens. Stay with us for the big stories on everything from 8K From foldable TVs and displays to new phones, laptops, smart home gadgets and the latest in AI.

The upgrades to the LUBA 3 appear to be iterations of the already excellent technology that powers models like the LUBA 2. For example, the Tri-Fusion navigation system has been improved and now offers positioning accuracy of ±1 cm. There’s all-wheel drive (all-wheel drive in the name) for navigating the toughest terrain, including an ultra-steep hill in the CES lobby (scroll down to watch).
The Tri-Fusion system combines three different technologies – LiDAR (the primary navigation system), RTK (for improved position accuracy) and AI Vision (for object recognition and avoidance) – to ensure that the robot always has a method to orient itself.
All three technologies have been upgraded in the LUBA 3. There is now 360-degree horizontal LiDAR coverage and 59-degree vertical coverage, scanning up to 330 feet. This provides the robot with millions of data points, which it can use to create a live 3D map of your yard, from grass to treetops.
Previous versions came with an RTK base that had to be installed separately from the mower and charging station, but the LUBA 3 AWK has a NetRTK module in the lawn robot itself, to save you extra hassle. (And of course, no wires are needed.)
Finally, there is the “UltraSense” AI vision, powered by two 1080P cameras and a 10 TOPS AI chip. This chip can handle 10 trillion operations per second, which means it can make decisions incredibly quickly.
All of this is intended to help the robot react almost instantly to its surroundings, including reading the terrain and recognizing up to 300 obstacles, even in low light conditions. This not only ensures that no garden toys are mowed, but it also means that the lawn robot can calculate the quickest and safest routes in real time. Oh and of course there are cliff sensors to make sure it doesn’t try to dive into your pool or pond.
Increase heights
THE All-wheel drive is borrowed from previous models and ensures the lawn robot can handle slopes of up to 80% (38.6°) – I saw it go up and down a mini astroturf mountain in the demo room and it never slipped or faltered.
It can also cope with uneven ground, and because all the wheels are independently powered, it can rotate neatly without upsetting your lawn. This model also has improved suspension, so it can move smoothly over borders or roots up to 3.15 inches in height.
Elsewhere, there’s a 15.8-inch cutting width on two six-blade discs, two 165W high-torque motors and a 15Ah battery. Mammotion claims it can mow up to 7,000 square feet per hour or up to 1.75 acres per day, and there’s a new intelligent energy management system that gives users more control over the lawn robot’s energy consumption – you can now set load limits and schedule off-peak charging to reduce costs. This is available on all of the latest series.
There are four different models included in the LUBA 3 AWD series, suitable for different lawn sizes, with prices starting at €2,299 / $2,299. They just went on sale in the UK and EU, and will be available in the US later in 2026.
