- Miele launched Guard L1 Comfort XL Cylinder Vaim
- Includes a companion application, an LDC screen and automatic soil detection
- Now available in the United Kingdom and Ireland, RRP £ 499
Miele has launched a new cylinder vacuum cleaner which has a range of advanced features for a more efficient and low effort cleaning routine. The Guard L1 Comfort XL Vacuum has Wi -Fi integration, a complementary application and automatic soil detection – all the features that appear on the best wireless stick vacuums today, but (so far), nowhere else.
The LCD screen – as you would find on one of the best Dyson gaps on the market – provides a useful way to transmit information at a glance. This will tell you what percentage is the dust bag, so you don’t have to worry about filling it too much and you can make sure you are prepared with spare parts before you need it. He will also tell you when the exhaust filter must be replaced and provide warning notifications – for example, if there is a blockage that needs attention.
You can also access this information via a companion application. I don’t know if you must Ask the companion application downloaded to use this machine effectively, but I hope not.
Another useful characteristic carried (rather late) from wireless stick vacuum is the automatic suction adjustment. The Miele Guard L1 can say what type of floor it is and change the suction level in response. So it will speed up to pull the dust from your carpet fibers, but go into lower power mode for hard floors, where dust is just on the surface.
Even if you don’t have to worry about preserving the battery (as you can in a wireless vacuum), it is a victory when it comes to not waste energy, and ensure effective cleaning with a minimum of effort. If you want to manually modify the suction, you can do it via a switch on the handle rather than having to return to the cartridge.
Each point of data that the LCD application and screen show focus on highlighting common problems which cause loss of suction power, both immediately and which can cause longer -term performance problems during the life of the vacuum cleaner.
Dan Young, Miele GB planks manager
“The Miele Guard L1 vacuum cleaner is designed to make your cleaning routine more intelligent and more effective,” said Dan Young, Floorcare manager at Miele GB, in Techradar. “Each data point that the LCD application and screen show focus on highlighting common problems which cause loss of suction power, both immediately and which can cause longer -term performance problems during the life of the vacuum cleaner.”
The Miele Guard L1 Comfort XL cylinder vacuum cleaner is available now in the United Kingdom and Ireland, a RRP of £ 499. This is one of the many “Guard L1” vacuum cleaners, but unfortunately it seems that it is only the XL range comfort that is delivered with the screen, the connectivity of the application and the automatic suction adjustment. Miele has a presence in the United States and Australia, but not yet news as to whether the new model will get there.
Why wait?
Wireless and bag -free stick vacuum cleaners remain the floor cleaner day -to -dayAnd I can see why. It is certainly practical not to have to dodge the cables and to connect and to straighten into the sockets when you go to your cleaning routine. But there are drawbacks in this style of vacuum. Vertical vacuum cleaners or cylinder vacuum cleaners almost always have more suction power and last much longer.
The bags are minor worries but also have their advantages. One of my ordinary vacuum cleaners testers swears by bag vacuum cleaners, and there are advantages for allergic people, because there is less likely for dust and other particles to escape in the air once they have been sucked.
In short, these types of alternative vacuum cleaners are not a dusty relic (word game) of a bygone era, and there is no reason why stick vacuum cleaners should get all attention. Miele is known as a more traditional premium brand, and I am delighted to see that it finally mounted on the plate to deliver a void of cylinder for the modern era.
