- The last Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Trailer appeared at Nintendo Direct of yesterday
- The trailer has psychic capacities for Samus as well as a new costume upgrade
- The game is always on the right track for an outing window ‘2025’
We had a new trailer to Metroid Prime 4: Beyond During the last direct presentation of Nintendo, and I think it looks like a good follow -up of the original prime trilogy.
In the last trailer, the protagonist Samus Aran lands on a strange planet called Viewros, inhabited by hostile extraterrestrial creatures as well as a race which seems poured into psychic powers. Said powers are also granted to Samus, allowing him to interact with the environment and fight enemies in various ways.
We see Samus using his new psychic capacities to transport orbs in mechanisms to supply the devices and open doors. But more importantly (and brilliant), she can use these powers to slow down time and manually guide her beam strokes through enemies. Does this seem overpowered? Of course, but perhaps not at the level that the hypermode was Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.
To watch
These psychic capacities seem to be the main gadget Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, following Prime 3 Phazon power and Prime 2 Clear and dark mechanics. We have really only had a brief overview in the trailer, so I hope they will be useful for more than opening doors and entering a ball state.
Take advantage of the Viewros
One thing that is clear, however, is that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond seems to push the switch equipment to its limits. The environments are magnificent with impressive details and glorious Skybox. It also seems to be holding a fairly stable crucial performance factor, which was a crucial performance factor in all games to date.
I must also give a cry to the soundtrack, which definitely captures this feeling of isolation in which the games of choice have always been excellent. Combat music is also wild and chaotic, creating an intentionally shocking sensation when you are removed from the smell of roses and the hectic battle.
Finally, the trailer ends with an overview of one of the new upgrades of Samus. Its varia costume takes an elegant red and black aesthetic with purple accents. It is a very striking look, but we do not know what capacities this costume will allow it. Presumably, this will help strengthen its new psychic powers or provide ways to better cross dangerous environments.
Still no solid release date for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond For the moment, however. But the trailer confirms that the game is still on the right track for an outing in 2025. Hopefully this will end up being a launch title for Nintendo Switch 2 as many speculate.
