World war is the latest film Ice Cube manufactured and played in, but its production was shaken by various issues, as recently revealed by the Los Angeles rap star.
The first was the pandemic. “”[‘War of the Worlds’] was a film that I made in 2020 during the pandemic, ”he recalls in an interview with the popular streamer Kai Cenat.
The COVVI-19 restrictions at the time forced the star to shoot the film in 15 days without the director and the actors present together.
He continues: “We turned him in 15 days, and it was during the pandemic. So the director was not there. None of the actors was there. It was the only way we could really shoot the film.
The second reason, he shares, was the acquisition of rights, which delayed the release of the film, as explains Ice Cube. Universal made the film, but Amazon acquired it.
In addition to this, other scenes from the films, in addition to those featuring the Friday Star, had to be acquired from “real surveillance cameras”.
“All images come from real surveillance cameras around the world,” he added. “So they had to build this whole shit [and then collect and edit the footage]”, He shares.
After its release in July, the criticisms strongly shot the film of Ice Cube, leading it, at one point, to have a score of 0% on Rotten Tomatoes; However, the film has since improved at 4%.
THE World war Logline reads as follows: “As an analyst of computer security, William Radford is thrown at the center of a global disaster when extraterrestrials invade the earth.”
