This week, Chatgpt obtained an upgrade and Tom Holland returned to action as Spider-Man.
To make up for all this and more in the world of technology and entertainment, scroll down for our weekly Icymi. There are big stories that you won’t want to miss.
Once you are all up to date, be sure to read our choices for the 7 new movies and television programs to watch this weekend (August 8).
7. Spider-man has taken action
To watch
The shooting is officially underway on Spider-Man: Brand New Day, people are flocking to Glasgow to see the web-slinger in action.
We had an overview of the new costume, which seeks to pay tribute to Tobey Maguire and to live iterations of the character of Andrew Garfield.
We have also seen that the film will involve the first use of practical websinging in one of the Solo McU movies in Webslinger.
Finally, we might have had a tease of the film’s main villain: Monsieur negative, because the tanks that cross the whole are wooded by a logo that resembles the logo of the interior demons associated with the negative forces.
6. Samsung disclosed his own headphones
Oh Samsung, you’re going so well! Having apparently canceled the Evan Blass image leak in July, it seemed that all the rated slides had been warned and dissuaded. But then, Oopsie, a list of half -finished products with prices and images is online – on the Samsung Panama website.
Two colors are represented (white and very dark gray), and the price, at least in Panama, is listed as $ 129. We are very hard not to make a bad joke on the canal of the ear of Panama, but at times like they, it is really better to laugh.
The Galaxy Buds 3 Fe also seem to have silicone ear advice, but everything else is always conjectures because the product page does not include real specifications or features, which is another indication that someone supported the button “ `publish ” too early.
Buds 3 FE are monitoring of the original FE or “Fan Edition” Buds. It’s true, there are no 2 Fe buds, so we really thought that Samsung managed the launch of this potentially confusing iteration with delicacy and care …
5. Sonos announced an increase in prices
This week, Sonos announced that “later this year, we plan to increase prices” in response to American prices.
Although the company no longer manufactures most of its products in China – which currently faces a price of 30% – it respectively makes its technology in Vietnam and Malaysia, which faces prices of 20% and 19% (depending on the rates at the time of the August 7 writing).
Specifically, the amount of cost increased that the speakers will come has not yet been announced, and we do not yet know exactly when the price increase will come either, but unless things change, it seems that an increase in prices arrives-so you may want to buy a sound speaker as soon as possible.
4. Harman Kardon faced Sonos
Audio Advice Live is a consumption audio and video program based in the United States which was held every year in Raleigh, in North Carolina, and during the event of this year, which took place from August 1 to 3, 2025, we had the opportunity to consult the next Soundbars shelters of the Enchase series by Harman Kardon.
The big news in the Enchanking series is that it offers several of the same features that are found in the sound bars and the speakers of Sonos, including multi-pieces and controls based on applications. But the bars of its enchanks go beyond the popular sound models, such as the Sonos Arc Ultra, by offering both the Dolby Atmos and DTS management: X, as well as an HDMI passage input to connect an external device as an Xbox Series X or PS5 console.
Is the Enchant series ready to reverse Sonos? We will not know before getting our hands on an exam system, but if Harman Kardon can nail the part of the equation – a recent point of pain for Sonos and his customers – he could provide a convincing alternative to the multi -room ecosystem of Sonos.
3. The Z Flip 7 was tortured

To watch
Since their launch, we, like many other testers, have put the new Samsung foldables at their own pace. But some testers take things in the extreme when it comes to judging sustainability.
JerryrigeVery Tout seriously puts the new foldable of Samsung to the test with a test that involved setting fire on the phone screens, swimming the dirt gadget and trying to scrape each surface with a knife – before trying to take the phone in half.
In one way or another, the Z Flip 7 has survived, but it shows that the foldables are not as fragile as they were in the past.
2. Microsoft has teased the future of Windows
A Microsoft Exec shared its Windows vision in 2030, making it said that we will not use keyboards and mice to interact with our computers, but rather by using our voice and our AI. We have heard it (remember when virtual assistants like Cortana [RIP] Wilted everything for us with simple vocal orders?), And I am not convinced.
I do not want to talk to my computer when I am alone, even less in a place or an occupied office, and there is a reason why we always use keyboards, mice and trackpads after the creation of these peripherals: they remain the fastest and most practical way to interact with our computers for many people.
1. Chatgpt-5 launched
After destroying its creation in the past two weeks, even saying that it had frightened them, Sam Altman and Openai finally unveiled GPT -5 – the latest version of the digital brain that feeds Chatgpt.
As expected, the GPT -5 would be better than its predecessor, apparently more reliable than before – being more honest with the gaps in his knowledge rather than lies or hallucination, as is called to AI – and it is also supposed to be better in mathematics and coding, which makes it a more useful ambiance coding partner.
However, not everyone is happy. Many users have gone to social networks to call the new “horrible” bot because Chatgpt now only gives shorter answers with less personality, and the fast cap also seems lower.
This might not do much so that affected users feel better in the situation, but Openai has at least warned of this before the launch of GPT-5: teasing “probable hiccups and cracking capacity”, as Sam Altman said.
