This week completed in September, or Tech Tech as we call it, with the last events of the month, from Amazon to the big hardware and Google software.
We also watched the Internet imploser when Xbox Game Pass obtained an increase in major prices, which has led a lot to wonder if the subscription is always a good deal for them.
To make up for all this and more, scroll down for our summary of the seven largest technological news of the week.
1. Samsung has teased the foldable iPhone
For Icymi, we do not normally include reports based on leaks and speculation, because even if they can be directly on money, they can also be far from the brand – even from often reliable sources. We are making an exception here because the president of Samsung Display, Lee Cheong, said that the company was preparing to produce foldable telephone panels for a North American customer, and that a single company comes to mind as mysterious buyer: Apple.
Indeed, the long -awaited foldable iPhone would be the launch of next year, and Samsung Display has long been making its other iPhone screens.
We have heard many rumors about what the foldable iPhone might look like, but expect something thin – it could even be thinner than the 5.6 mm iPhone air when unfolded. Regarding prices, the most recent price we heard is $ 1,999 (about £ 1,500 £ / $ 3,050 in).
Very publicized Meta Ray-Ban-Ban display glasses are finally available for the public in the United States, and you can even book a demo to give them a whirlwind.
This laptop is essentially Meta’s intelligent Ray-Ban intelligent glasses with an attached screen, offering additional features such as screen navigation, contextual notification windows and even support for video calls.
But with pairs from $ 799, you probably want to try them before buying them. This is why, using the official Meta page, you can find a retailer near you offering 25 -minute demos. Just be ready to wait a while, because the demos are already reserved for months – although more and more stores offer specifications and deploy them in more regions, it should become easier to book a slot machine.
3. We have judged an “actress”
Tilly Norwood is an “actress” of the AI of the “first studio of talents of artificial intelligence (AI) in the world”, Xicoia, and she burst on the scene via social media to seek the representation of agents.
The creator asked people to “judge it by merit”, but we and many others – in particular notable Hollywood figures – have decided that it was a terrifying perspective for the world of entertainment which could remove humanity from the shows and films to come.
At these moments, we cannot prevent ourselves from thinking about this viral quote from Joanna Maciejewska with regard to Tilly Norwood: “I want the AI to make my laundry and my dishes so that I can make art and writing, not for AI to make my art and my writing so that I can make my laundry and my dishes.”
If you use the Meta AI chatbot on Facebook and Instagram, you may want to reconsider, because from December 16, your cats will influence the announcements you see – and at the time of writing, you cannot withdraw.
“For example, if you chat with Meta IA on hiking, we can learn that you are interested in hiking – just as we would do if you publish a reel on hiking or you liked a page linked to hiking.
Meta can be a pioneer here, but Google has discussed the dissemination of ads in Gemini and its IA glimpses, which appear at the top of the research, while Amazon uses conversations with his Rufus Ai chatbot for similar purposes.
5. Amazon announced new equipment
Tuesday, Amazon organized a huge material event in New York, and we were there in the public, bringing you the lowest on each device as it has been announced.
Some of the protruding facts included the scribe scribe colordoft, which looks like writing on paper, integrates into OneDrive and Google Docs, new Echo smart speakers and smart screens, three new fire televisions and ring cameras and updated sonnets.
Everything is imbued with AI thanks to Alexa +, and we were able to get the hand (and our ears) on everything to bring you our first impressions at the end of the presentations.
6. Google Home has obtained an AI update
Google Smart Home Tech is finally ready to obtain the highly anticipated Gemini update, which will bring more conversational interactions, improved help for the implementation of your automation and better detection of objects for your smart cameras.
Unfortunately, for the best features, you will have to start paying for a Google Home Premium subscription – yours for $ 10 per month or $ 100 per year (standard level), or $ 20 per month or $ 200 per year (advanced level).
The good news is that you will not need to go to the new Google Home speaker (although you can if you wish), because the update will be supported by all Google Tech technologies in the past decade.
7. Xbox Game Pass obtained an increase in prices
Microsoft set fire to the Internet by announcing changes in big changes to Xbox Game Pass. That is to say that a high level of XBOX Ultimate Subscription now costs $ 29.99 / £ 22.99 / $ 35.95 in.
This means that a year of Xbox Pass Ultimate – $ 359.88 – only cost only a little less than a Xbox series – with its recently increased price by $ 379.99.
Now Ultimate comes with useful advantages. It now includes a membership in the Fortnite crew (which you net the skins, 1,000 v-bucks per month and the battle pass), Ubisoft + Classics (classic Ubisoft games organized) and shorter waiting times and a 1440p resolution during streaming.
That said, many players have not taken this news well, with the page, the players would use to cancel their subscriptions. Yikes! Do not completely worry about increasing prices because you can always get the Xbox Ultimate game game for $ 19.99 per month yet – while the shares last.
