This week, Apple has been launching the launch of the iPhone 17, and Flipepr devices have challenged that its technology helps people flying cars.
To make up for all of this, and five more than the best technological newspapers of the week scroll down for the last iteration of our weekly summary Icymi.
Next week is IFA and we are sure to see great announcements there (maybe even Samsung), so be sure to come back for the next summary in seven days.
7. Could the eternal teasing Doom for Doomsday?
Eternal Was the film Marvel 2021 which instantly flopped, with fans and criticisms criticizing its development of a hasty character during a shorter execution time. In a new interview with Vanity Fair, director Chloé Zhao said that unlimited money and resources was “in fact quite dangerous”, adding it for the next release in November, Hamnet.
But what happens if the same logic could be applied to Avengers: DoomsdaY? This is the moment of the film of the decade for the MCU, so of course, the studio throws caution in the unlimited wind, even if it does not make sense outside. In dangerous entertainment times and apparently no limit to what is happening during manufacturing Judgment DayZhao’s comments may be considered a warning.
6. A new solar security camera made its debut
If you like the idea of having an intelligent security camera on your home, but you don’t like the idea of removing it to load, Swann has the solution. SWANN EVO wireless solar can continue to run with only 45 minutes of sun per day, and is weather resistant so that you can mount it just about anywhere. There is no need to pay subscription fees, as all your videos are stored locally on an SD card. Now it’s smart.
It is not the cheapest home security camera, but once you take into account the solar panel and the lack of monthly membership fees to watch your videos, its price of $ 129.99 / £ 99.99 £ 179.95 looks very reasonable.
5. The next unpacking of Samsung has obtained a date
We sometimes worry about the people of Samsung HQ. In 2025, the company organized separate launch events for the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 EDGE and New Galaxy Z Ludables, and it seems that we get another Galaxy window before the end of the year.
Coinciding with IFA 2025 on September 4, the next “Galaxy event” by Samsung will see “Premium AI Tablets” and “the most recent member of the Galaxy S25 family” will enter the fold. This almost certainly means that the Galaxy Tab S11 series and the Galaxy S25 FE are fast, and thanks to several leaks and rumors, we think that we have a fairly good idea of what to expect from the three new devices.
4. The Flipper devices responded to car flight complaints
Could a $ 200 device be the next great thing in car flight? An discovered report of underground pirate networks consists in selling Flipper Zero software fixes which can unlock all kinds of cars – even major brands like Ford, Audi and Volkswagen.
The “multi -tool device for geeks” is intended for safety researchers to demonstrate vulnerabilities in a responsible manner, but some bad players use the device to spoil the Tesla load ports, modify the traffic lights, and now apparently hack in cars – although the silver lining is that the reports indicate that the feat can only open a car, you can not yet remove yourself.
The Flipper devices contacted us with a statement saying: “We do not know any officially confirmed flight cases using a zero pinball.” And to contest the complaints, these hacks are even effective because the zero freaking out does not have the “equipment to delete radio signals, which would be necessary to break systems which correctly use the bearing codes” as a key input system.
3. Dji launched a new microphone
DJI unveiled the MIC 3, the latest premium version in the company’s popular portable wireless microphones. It only comes 18 months after the DJI MIC 2 and it will replace its predecessor at the top of the best Microphone Wireless Techradar guide thanks to significant design and performance updates.
Our cameras editor, Timothy Coleman, only recently bought the MIC 2 and likes it, so it was a bit skeptical about the need for a new model. After receiving our DJI MIC 3 exam sample, it only took him a few seconds to see why people might want to upgrade, and he admits to having a regret shade regarding his purchase.
The two models record both 24 -bit and 32 -bit floating audio, but MIC 3 has a smaller and more tough design, better battery life and a raft of audio upgrades, including Timecode support, noise cancellation at two levels and improved transmission range. In simple terms, the DJI MIC 3 defines the tiny wireless microphone bar.
2. Google told us what he was not doing
We may have been treated with six new pixel devices – including four new phones – but if you were desperately for a rollerbble to fold or a successor to the Pixel tablet, you will have to continue to wait.
Google’s vice-president of devices and services, Shakil Barkat, confirmed that he was not planned for a foldable Google Flip to reach the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Barkat also excluded an intelligent ring and says that the series of Pixel tablets is on a break until a “significant future” can be understood for the product category.
The status on smart glasses, meanwhile, is “TBD”.
1. Apple defines the launch date of the iPhone 17
We all expected an Apple event in September, and the Cupertino -based technology giant has just made it official by sending invitations for a special event on September 9, with the slogan, “Awe Droping”.
It will start at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. He / 6 p.m. BST on September 9, 2025 (3h of September 10 Aest) in Apple Park, and we will cover it from the ground to break down all the biggest announcements as and when.
Judging by rumors and what Apple showed during special events in previous September, we expect the iPhone 17 range – including the brand new, super end of iPhone 17 – new Apple and even AirPods watches. So, as always, you won’t want to miss it!
