This week, we had done by Google, the annual showcase where Google begins its last pixel devices – and it served a real treat!
We have also obtained new streaming goodies, including Peacemaker Season 2 (after Superman, we are much more eager to see what the DCU serves today).
To make up for all this and more, scroll down for the 7 biggest technological news of the week (spoilers: there is a lot of Google here, but it is not a bad thing).
By launching things with a different G, Gamescom 2025 was this week, and by far the biggest announcement is that Silksong finally has a release date, and it is in only two weeks on September 4. This writer could not be more excited, and taking a change 2 with us to Ifa has gone from a good idea to a must.
There is also a new Lego Batman game. Legacy of the Dark Knight seeks to combine elements of the most emblematic Batman stories of all the comics and films, as well as the gameplay which seems to be torn by the Arkhamverse games – with, of course, a healthy spoonful of emblematic lego humor is synonymous.
We also obtained Black Ops 7 Details, a look at Fallout season 2, a trailer for Lords of the Fallen 2, a first glimpse of the anime Sekiro No Beat, and a teaser for the black myth: Zhong Kui – among SO, so, much more.
6. Apple TV + has become more expensive
Another day, another streaming service increasing its prices – and this time, it’s Apple TV +. Apple’s streaming service shocked this week by increasing prices for the third time in three years.
The changes took effect immediately Thursday, August 21 for new subscribers, while existing customers will see their next renewal bill drop from $ 9.99 to $ 12.99 in the United States, from £ 8.99 to £ 9.99 in the United Kingdom and $ 12.99 at $ 15.99 in Australia.
If you plan to cancel your subscription to the rear of the news, then it is worth looking for ways to avoid the Apple TV + Price hiking, because you can save money by registering for an annual account, a bundle or a free Apple TV + trial – which is essential if you are a Slow horses fan!
5. Spotify stole and improved Apple Music functionality
Earlier this week, Spotify has unveiled a new feature in the application that allows users to pass transparent between the songs in the new and existing playback lists by pressing the “MIX” button in the Filter Toolbar. The functionality is similar to Apple Music’s Automix function, but Spotify allows you to personalize your own cross-overs.
When you activate the functionality, the tabs will appear between each track on your reading list, marking each transition. The “ auto ‘preset’ will be applied at the beginning, which means that Spotify will automatically pass the songs for you, but you can also choose from a selection of presets such as “melt” and `wave ”, or create your own transitions by playing with its volume, its EQ and its functions of effect curves to develop a perfectly mixed reading list.
According to Spotify’s blog, its Apple Music Automix response is deployed in beta version for “eligible premium users”, but we do not yet know when it is available for all paid Spotify subscribers.
4. We watched season 2 of the Pacific 2
As another terribly written episode and played with the original HBO Max, Peacemaker Season 2 gets more than a boost of us.
Located a few months after the Gunn Superman film, Peacemaker Season 2 brings us together with Chris Smith (John Cena), alias the eponymous anti-hero, while he continues to fight to reconcile his past.
It is an impressive, entertaining and surprisingly stimulating continuation of its predecessor. A series filled with the usual external signs of a project by James Gunn – dark and clumsy humor, heartbreaking moments, heavy action sequences, soundtrack, melodrama allames and broken characters that you cannot prevent yourself from worshiping – it is the essential television for the devours of DC comics, fans of emerging DCUs and decontracted observers.
3. Google Pixel Buds 2a made its debut
Google launched the Pixel Buds 2A, alias the new most affordable Pixel headphones. And in case you already have Pro 2, Google has given these useful free upgrades (September to come) at the same time.
In addition to being the first headphones in the series A to obtain an active cancellation of the noise (which, according to Google, is better than 1.5x than the noise noise that you will find in the original Pro Buds Pixel), they are the smallest and lightest pixel buds to date, with the silent seal of Google 1.5 to help block the unwavering ambient audio – and Pixel 2A.
As you can imagine, they work with Google Gemini – but it is good to see the latest “Live with Gemini” variation for the conversational responses in real time.
And what about Pixel Buds Pro 2 updates? There is a new color option, Moonstone (to match the range of Google Pixel 10 phones), plus a free software update for all other advantages.
From September 2025, Pixel Buds Pro 2 will win an adaptive sound (Google’s vision on the cancellation of adaptive noise) alongside the protection of strong noise and control of the heads of the head, so that you can pick up calls and respond to hands free. They will also get better audio treatment for the use of Gemini in more noisy environments, live with the Gemini support, as well as additional notifications on the level of your battery on the headphones, you are never taken short.
2. Pixel Watch 4 has been abandoned with first -rate features
While Google Pixel 10 phones were the attraction in the Made by Google event this week, the Pixel Watch 4 also attracted attention. With new features in the SmartWatch category, such as the connectivity of emergency satellites, the batteries and replaceable screens, a fully dominated screen and a simple elevation access to Talk in Google Gemini, the future belongs to Google Smartwatch (especially because of its 3000-Nit brightness screen). He arrived in parallel with the announcement of a personal health and fitness coach in terms of AI lower than Stephen Curry, although there are not too many details on this front.
1. We have obtained new pixel phones
As expected, we have obtained a whole new collection of Google pixel phones, including the Pixel 10, the Pixel 10 Pro, the Pixel 10 Pro XL and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, which brought beautiful upgrades on the side of the camera, such as better selfie cameras and a 5x optical zoom on the basic model (unknown).
Visually, neither of the four phones, including the Lovely Pixel 10 Pro Fold, has had much update, but there are features that I think that pixel fans will appreciate. They all direct the new Tensor G5 and, of course, which feeds this AI and photo assistance, including the camera coach, who could make a great photographer of each of us. Add me can now add animals, and your phone can now make a live translation in your voice.
However, if we were to summarize the two most spoken updates, it could be an IP68 protection for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold (a first in the folding space) and Pixel Snap, Apple’s own Apple Android version. All we can say is: “It’s time.”
