Idris Elba and King Charles met for a documentary collaboration with Netflix.
Elba makes a documentary on the King’s Trust, previously called Prince’s Trust, who helped the actor become an actor thanks to an artistic subsidy which allowed him to study the theater.
In the film, the Thor The actor will accompany the king as he opens on the work of the charitable organization and his personal support for this. The documentary will feature some of the millions of people that the charity has helped and their stories.
The production company of Elba and Diene Petterle 22 Summers will produce the film, which will start shooting next week. The film should be directed by Ashley Francis-Roy.
“The King’s confidence gave me an opportunity that changed my life,” Elba said in a statement.
“At a time when I did not have the resources to continue my ambitions, they offered real and practical support – including financial assistance – which helped me take these first steps to advance my career”, ”
Elba added: “Today, through the Elba Hope foundation, I focus on creating these same opportunities for young people who are full of potential but who lack access.
“All over the world, millions are still waiting for this door to open,” said the Luther Star.
“This documentary aims to shed light on what is possible when it does-and why the work of the King’s confidence remains so important,” he concluded.
The documentary of Idris Elba and King Charles will release Netflix in the fall of 2026.
