Wanbo revealed its portable projector Vali 1, which promises 900 Lumens ANSI and costs only $ 319 / £ 269 / $ 499 in.
Vali 1 is an intelligent 1080p portable projector that has Android TV 11 integrated for streaming and can display images up to 130 inches. It has two 6W speakers for audio and has a flexible support that turns up to 200 °. It also supports Keystone Auto correction, automatic focus and automatic screen adjustment for configuration.
On paper, Vali 1 offers a large part of the features found in some of the other best portable spotlights, so why is it distinguished in particular?
Well, apart from its low price, these are the 900 Ansi Lumens claimed. It is double the amount claimed by some of its most publicized rivals.
The Samsung Freestyle Gen 2, currently number one on our list of portable projectors, has only 230 specified lumens and the XGIMI MOGO 3 Pro has only 450 Lumens ISO. Even the LG Cinebeam Q, one of the best 4K projectors, claims 500 Lumens ANSI.
If the vali 1 could reach this number, it would be a really remarkable feat, especially given its ultra-basic price. The above spotlights cost much more, so is there a catch?
Daring luminosity
The 900 Ansi Lumens affirmed by Wanbo is certainly catchy and seems almost too good to be true. Well, it turns out that it could be.
Central projector tested and examined the Wanbo Vali 1 and discovered that it had struck 422 lumens, with an absolute peak of 529 lumens in the lower sector. This 422 lumens is 52% under the claimed brightness of Wanbo of 900 lumens, a significant difference and one which could undermine the value of the vali 1.
It should be noted that 422 lumens is a typical if not respectable number for a projector of this size and this price, and complies with its rivals mentioned above.
We have not yet seen or tested the vali 1, so we cannot give a verdict on it. However, this brightness gap discovered by central projector is something to keep in mind.
