Islamabad:
The High Court of Islamabad (IHC) has eliminated tax cases worth 600 billion rupees and has lifted the suspension order in the last two months.
A special division bench including judge Muhammad Azam Khan and judge Inaam Ameen Minhas eliminated tax cases worth 424 billion rupees on Tuesday, a report said.
On the instructions of the acting chief judge, Sarfraz Dogar, a special division bench was created to quickly eliminate tax and income cases.
Judge Babar Sattar and judge Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan eliminated 94 cases of tax resumption worth 150 billion rupees.
The acting chief judge Sarfaraz Dogar and judge Inaam Ameen Minhas raised the suspension order in tax cases worth 36 billion rupees.
Dogar judge has issued instructions for rapid elimination of tax affairs. The special division bench created to eliminate tax cases completed the hearing of 173 cases in two months and returned its verdict.
Judge Muhammad Azam Khan and Judge Inaam Ameen Minhas heard 20 cases this year.
