Islamabad:
The High Court of Islamabad (IHC) prevented the FIA on Thursday from harassing former senator Farhatullah Babar and issued opinions to the parties concerned, asking for their answers by the last week of this month.
The IHC judge inmum amin Minhas heard the petition deposited by Babar through lawyers Iman Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha under article 199. The Ministry of the Interior, FIA and others were made of parties in the petition.
The petition said that a FIA investigation was launched on March 25 on complaints of “alleged corruption, tax evasion and acquisition of illegal assets” of a citizen, whom the petitioner did not know.
