Baby reindeer made a big impression on Netflix viewers in 2024, and now creator Richard Gadd is back with an equally intense new series, Half man.
A trailer for Half man has been released, giving us a deeper look at two men who grew up together and became a blended family after their respective mothers entered into a relationship. Now considering themselves brothers, they had a close bond until their big argument as adults.

What are Half Man fans saying?

So far, the trailer has received a largely positive response, with many people bracing themselves for another emotional roller coaster. Whereas I couldn’t stop crying Baby reindeerI don’t blame them.
One YouTube commenter wrote: “Okay, I’m going to make an appointment with my therapist after watching this one. »
“Baby reindeer This was the best show I’ve seen in the last two years, so I’m VERY excited for this one!! ” said another commenter.
A third person agreed, saying: “Wow, trailers rarely pack a punch these days, but this one did for me. Amazing cast and the story seems to be an intense journey of love, family, toxicity and a cold air of reality showcasing these kinds of complicated situations and relationships. So I’m looking forward to its release.”
Half man is definitely one of my most anticipated HBO shows of the year, and we don’t have long to wait now. I really hope it can reach the same heights as Gadd’s Emmy-winning predecessor, but we’ll have to wait and see.
