Windows 11 could get another barely veiled ad in the Start menu, and this time, it’s for Copilot.
The latest Windows reports that Phantomofearth highlighted X movement, but note that Microsoft simply experiences this idea currently in Windows 11 test versions, you will not see it yet.

The boost to use Copilot appears in the `Recommended” section of the start menu, where Microsoft highlights the applications and services that he could find useful (read: try to sell you), as well as recently used applications or files.
As you will see if you look at the four screenshots provided on X, there are recommendations to use a simple co -pilot or a Microsoft 365 co -pilot. The latter is the commercial targeted subscription version, and I assume that the first is what will be presented to the average consumer.
These consist of prompts to simply draw Copilot to respond to a request or to use AI to write a first project.
However, Windows recently dug and found references to other laps on these recommendations in Windows 11.
Analysis: Start being bored?
No surprise things that happened this week, number 28: Microsoft is thinking about the idea of Put the features of AI a little more in Windows 11. Of course, we must keep in mind that this is only the experiment at the moment – the leak on X does not clearly show if this is hidden in the Windows 11 overview versions, but I suppose that is the case (the discoveries made by the most recent Windows are certainly).
I would bet at least money that it is something that ultimately cuts inclusion in Windows 11. Although we don’t really need to encourage Copilot, there is already a big button for AI on the taskbar, after all.
Now, to be fair to Microsoft, the good news is that if you do not like recommendations in the start menu like this, the company recently introduced the possibility of deactivating them in Windows 11 (after this option was spotted during tests some time ago).
To do this, you must enter the parameters and head to Personalization> StartWhere you will see a cursor for the following elements: “Show the recommended files in Start, recent files in File Explorer and elements in the jump lists”. Turn it off, but note that you will lose the other bits mentioned, including recent files that are reported in File Explorer (which is the application that displays your office folders).
