Imran, his wife seeks to be heard early on acquittal

Islamabad:

The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, and his wife, Bushra Bibi, asked the High Court of Islamabad (IHC), asking for an early hearing of their acquittal in the Toshakhana-II affair.

The petition, deposited by lawyers Salman Safdar and Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry, also asks the court to order the court of first instance to interrupt the procedure until a decision be made on the acquittal plea.

According to the petition, the court of first instance had rejected its acquittal plea in November 2024, a decision which was challenged on January 21, 2025. The last hearing on the case took place on April 25, 2025, but since then, the advocacy has not been fixed for a hearing.
