Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, said on Wednesday that the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI) said on Wednesday, Imran Khan agreed to engage in a political dialogue, Express News reported.
“Those who transform this into a question of the ego damage Pakistan. We must go beyond personal interests and reflect in the national interest,” said Gandapur by speaking to journalists from Peshawar. “Imran Khan accepted negotiations and clearly said that he was ready to speak for the improvement of Pakistan,” he added.
The CM also discussed the current legal efforts for the release of Khan. “Petitions are underway for the release of Imran Khan,” he noted, adding: “As director general of a province, I have an order from the court allowing me to meet him every week. These meetings are crucial for consultation, especially with the approaching provincial budget. ”
Stressing the importance of Khan’s contribution in provincial governance, Gandapur said: “Imran Khan is the party leader who governs the province. His vision must be reflected in our policies. If I am not allowed to meet him, how can I implement this vision? ”
He also criticized the current federal management, blaming it for the instability of the country. “Pakistan is going through a phase of serious instability, and the deep cause lies in those currently in power,” he said.
Negotiations between the government and the opposition began in December 2024, with the aim of finding a mutually acceptable solution to the country’s political and economic crises, and to solve long -standing disputed problems. However, the process struck a hook after only three cycles of talks.

During the third round, PTI presented a charter of requests, qualifying the proposals “prerequisite for wider negotiations” on other questions. Seven days later, Khan suddenly ended the dialogue, declaring that the government had not responded to the party’s request to form a judicial committee within a week.
One day after Khan’s announcement, the PTI chief, lawyer Gohar, slightly contradicted the declaration, suggesting that the talks had simply been suspended.
Subsequently, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif invited PTI to resume dialogue through a parliamentary committee. However, the founder of PTI imprisoned refused, finally dissolving the party’s negotiation committee and ordering its members to serve as a coordination committee responsible for building a large opposition alliance.
