An anti-terrorism court (ATC) of Lahore sent the nephew of Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday, Sher Sher Khan, during the 14-day pre-trial detention, denying the request for physical extension of the investigation agent (IO).
During the hearing, Io Muhammad Ashraf Javed asked for an extension of 30 days to five -day physical dismissal granted earlier on August 23. The IO argued that the additional time was necessary to recover Shah’s mobile phone and a mask that would have been used at the time of the incident – Shah was stopped in connection with the riots of May 9 – and to obtain details on its social accounts.
IO informed the court that a photogrammetry test has been carried out and a “wooden danda [stick]”was recovered from his possession.
The court observed that a sufficient investigation had already been conducted and that the tracing of social media accounts does not require additional custody of the accused in “the current era of technology and digital devices”.

Consequently, the court rejected the request for additional physical dismissal and rather sent Shah to pre -trial detention for 14 days, ordering the OI to submit the Challan in the stipulated period.
Shah, who is the son of Aleema Khan, must be produced in court on September 11, 2025.
Shah was produced in court for the hearing. His lawyers Rana Mudassar Umer, Salman Akram Raja and Taimoor also appeared in court. The deputy prosecutor Imtiaz Ahmad Sipra and the DSP legal investigation, Dr Javed Asif, were also present.
Shah was arrested one day after his older brother Shahrez was arrested by Punjab police. Shahrez was given to the police for eight -day pre -trial detention.
Reports have surfaced, mainly workers and managers of Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI), unidentified men taking the residence of Shah in Lahore, attacking the house staff, harassing family members and withdrawing it, before the police produced it in court on August 22.
