Rawalpindi:
The founder of the PTI, Imran Khan, warned against a new potential attack by India and stressed the need for the armed forces to remain vigilant as a result of the climbing of regional tensions.
The former Prime Minister transmitted this message at a rare meeting with his sisters, including Aleema Khan, who was authorized to see him after eight weeks.
Addressing the media after the meeting on Tuesday, Aleema said that Imran feared that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, that he described as someone who hates Pakistan, could act recklessly with anger.
“At war, 60% of the game is mental. I fear that Modi could act again,” she quoted his brother.
Aleema added that Imran had discussed the broader national feeling, saying that “the inhabitants of Pakistan are very happy”, but also stressed the importance of rapid responses during conflict. He said that a “false flag operation” had been carried out in cashmere occupied by India.
During the meeting, Imran also targeted the 26th constitutional amendment, appealing it “the burial of the rule of law” and a mechanism to legitimize the tests of civilians in the military courts. “Judicial independence has been canceled,” he said, adding that public support was crucial in wartime.
Aleema said her brother also questioned the relatively disposed response to the party trials, asking why PTI had not adopted a stronger position.
“His priority is the movement,” she said. “As for Junaid Akbar [who resigned as PAC chairman]He said it was up to him to decide what position he wanted to occupy. “”
“My priority is the movement, not the CAP,” she also quoted.
The former Prime Minister also called into question the absence of video surveillance sequences of May 9.
