Islamabad / Rawalpindi:

The head of the opposition to the National Assembly Omar Ayub said that the imprisoned founder of PTI, Imran Khan, did not seek a contract or accept no key, the declarant and other leaders of the PTI detained as political prisoners.

Addressing the media in Islamabad on Monday, he said that the leadership of the PTI, including the founder of the imprisoned party, was detained for political reasons. “Even cases of cookie theft have been deposited against me,” he said.

“We are part of the state, but the definition of” the state “promoted by current leaders is quite different,” he deplored.

He criticized what he described as the distorted understanding of the State, urging opponents to read the Constitution to understand the concept of the State. “Pakistan is not a hard state because there is no rule of law here. The law of the jungle prevails.”

Omar Ayub stressed that Imran Khan is not looking for an agreement or a concession. He also denounced the politicization of the sisters of the imprisoned leader, claiming that they are only engaged in family visits, and not on a political activity.

Connecting rumors of his resignation, said the opposition chief: “A politician must always be prepared for elections and death”.

Meanwhile, the senior PTI managers submitted two separate lists of visitors – one for legal representatives and one for family members – to the authorities of Adiala prison before a meeting planned with Imran.

According to the spokesperson for the Niazullah Niazi party, the lists include 12 names in total: six legal representatives and six family members.

The list of the legal team was faxed by the president of the PTI, lawyer Gohar Ali Khan, while the list of family members was sent by the secretary general of the PTI Salman Akram Raja.
