Imran’s sons await visa approval, known as Aleema Khan

Islamabad:

The founder of the Sons of PTI, Imran Khan, Sulaiman and Kasim, asked for Pakistani visas at Haut-Commissariat in London and is currently awaiting approval from the Interior Ministry, said Aleema Khan, the sister of the former Prime Minister on Friday.

In a share shared on X, Aleema revealed that Sulaiman and Kasim had submitted their visa requests a few days ago. She said the High Commissioner confirmed the receipt of the requests and had revealed that their approval was underway with the Interior Ministry.

Unlike the statements made by Aleema, sources from the Ministry of the Interior have denied that any visa request from the sons of the founder of the PTI is under study.

The sources said The Express PK Press Club that no request of this type is currently processed at the Ministry of the Interior. They specified that the ministry does not make family visas or any other type of visas, and that the claims suggesting the opposite are inaccurate.

In addition, they have said that visa issues of this nature are solely of the jurisdiction of the Pakistani High Commissioner and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On Wednesday, Kasim Khan, in an interview with US Media Outlet Real America’s Voice, said that his father was detained in “inhuman” conditions in Adiala prison, Rawalpindi.

“Right now, he is in really, really bad conditions and it seems that they worsen for the moment,” said Kasim, adding that his father was kept in isolation. “He shower in muddy water. Ten people would have died in these dirty conditions,” he said.

The former Prime Minister has been incarcerated since August 2023. He is currently serving a sentence in the case of corruption of 190 million pounds sterling and also faced several cases, including those of the anti -terrorist law (ATA), coming from the demonstrations of May 9, 2023.
