Islamabad:
During the first ten months of the year 2024-25 (July to April), Pakistan received more than $ 6 billion in loans and foreign subsidies. However, total external entries reached $ 14.1 billion when IMF funding and friendly countries are included.
The annual objective of external financial aid is $ 19.39 billion, according to data published by the Division of Economic Affairs. Sources have indicated that the $ 2.1 billion received from the IMF are added to other entries. Saudi Arabia, water and China overturned deposits worth $ 6 billion during the period.
From July to April, Pakistan received $ 2.97 billion in international financial institutions. Countries of which China and the United States have granted an additional $ 370 million in bilateral loans. The country has also obtained $ 760 million in foreign commercial loans.
According to documents, Pakistan raised $ 1.61 billion through the Naya Pakistan certificates. More than $ 3 billion was received as a budgetary support, while $ 2.63 billion was directed to development projects.
