Ubisoft confirmed Assassin’s Creed Shadows will support Steam Deck at launch.
In February, the publisher shared a long Q&R where he answered a number of questions about ShadowsIts PC and console features, as well as if the game would be available on Steam Deck.
“When launching, the game will not be compatible with Steam Deck, because it is less than our minimum specifications for PC,” he said at the time.
However, a week before the launch of the game, Ubisoft has now announced in a new post X / Twitter that it’s next Assassin’s Creed The game will be playable on the Valve laptop.
“Many of you have asked questions about Steam Deck. We are happy to say that we are taking care of Steam Deck at launch and are currently waiting for Valve’s classification level. More information to come soon.”

Valve generally notes new and future games according to Steam Deck’s compatibility classifications, so we will not yet know if Shadows will be fully checked at launch.
After being delayed once again in early January, Assassin’s Creed Shadows should now be launched on March 20, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC.
Last month, it was reported that the game had disclosed in advance after some players were able to obtain early copies. Certain images and screenshots have been shared online and Ubisoft responded later to the situation, saying that any online shared sequence is not representative of the final product.
