- The JBL handle is cylindrical but smaller (and cheaper) than the flip 7
- Bold jbl pro sound With a “impactful” exit 16W
- Auracast connectivity, IP68 waterproofing and tempting price
If I Were Looking at Jbl’s enviable Bluetooth Speaker Lineup with a Critical Eye, I Might Say That the Jbl Flip 7 is a Barn-Stormer of A Portable Speaker (and Fully Deserving Of Its Place at the Tippy-Top of our Best Bluetooth Speakers Guide), There’s typically Always Been Quite the Gap Between It and, Say, The Jbl Go 4 Or Jbl Clip 5 – and I Mean That in Terms of Size, Price, and Audio Quality.
And that’s why I am so happy to see the launch of the JBL GIP; One has the impression that I watched its range and said: “We have something at $ 49.95 / £ 39.99 $ 59.95 in and we have something at $ 149 / £ 129 / £ 179 in. Can we get something to divide the difference – something at the price of $ 99?”
And the JBL socket is this speaker, at a price of $ 99 (therefore about £ 75 or $ 150 at, although these prices are currently supposed), or a direct rival for the splendid ultimate ears the size of a Wonderboom 4 cup.
What about its dimensions? JBL tells us that the handle is “inspired by the proportions of a box of Seltzer”, but if it does not work immediately for you, think of these pre-perverted cocktail boxes or perhaps the well-known energy drink named from a colorful male cow.
Access to the most recent JBL speaker in the city
The top of the JBB handle specific handle is the JBL Sound Pro audio adjustment, a “Punchy 16W output” plus a sound boost for “the more powerful and deeper bass without distortion”.
You can associate two speakers for stereo sound, or connect several Auracast speakers. There is a built-in rope hook on the speaker to facilitate the fixing of a backpack or a bicycle, for example, and its ip68 construction, dust and drop-over construction, you will not have to worry about dropping it in water up to 1.5 m deep, up to 30 minutes.
Endurance? You should get up to 12 hours of play, more than 2 hours overtime with Playtime Boost activated, which is more than acceptable for a speaker of this size.
My new favorite feature on the grip speaker? An ambient light in the shape of a pill but quite large on the rear panel, so you can define the atmosphere to match your reading list using the JBL portable application.
The JBL handle is now available for the Presale in the United States, for $ 99.95 Jbl.comWith a larger version scheduled for September 28, 2025. Color options? Of course: six out -of -competition finishes will arrive, including classic black, white, daring purple (which would be my favorite choice), red, blue and camouflage.
Will he soon join the ranks of our best waterproof speakers? The time (and the in -depth test of Techradar) will say it – but I really hope.
