- An independent audit has confirmed that IPVanish never stores user data as indicated in its privacy policy
- IPVanish also unveiled its latest transparency report, a quarterly update on government requests
- A confidence center page has also been launched to group all reports, IPVanish policies and initiatives in one place
An independent audit has just confirmed that Ipvanish does not record your data.
The Cybersecurity Company Schellman Compliance has carried out a series of tests to determine that IPVanish data management practices adhere to its privacy policy.
To date, on April 10, 2025, you can find all the audits without Log-Log, quarterly transparency reports, current policies and initiatives grouped on the newly launched trust page.
A boost of transparency
It was the second time that Ipvanish has implemented its complaints as confidentiality policy under surveillance. The popular supplier has already reached an independent confidentiality audit in 2022.
Schellman’s team inspected all IPVanish server configurations and relevant IT systems in February 2025 to determine whether user activity was collected or stored on its VPN servers.
The verdict? “No newspaper has been kept by IPVanish,” concluded the listeners.
Commenting on the conclusions, the commercial director of IPVanish, Subbu Sthanu, told Techradar: “People should not have to take the word of a VPN with regard to data management.”
All the best VPN services boast, in fact, a privacy policy and a regularly verified infrastructure and an infrastructure as a guarantee that no information or use data can never be collected, then linked to you or your online activities.
It should be remembered, however, that most VPN without Log-Log collect basic data such as your email address and the number of users connected to a server, for example. However, these details will not be sufficient to identify you or your activities when using the VPN.
In a new attempt to strengthen transparency, IPVanish has also unveiled its new confidence center.
“The Trust Center gives users receipts – proof of our position of non -locks, independent audits and infrastructure transparency – all in the same place,” said Stanu.
There, you can find all the audit results of non-lugarithms passed alongside the supplier’s quarterly transparency reports. The latter are regular updates of all data requests that the VPN receives from governments, as well as attempted malicious activities.
Nothing to fear, however, as Ipvanish explains, this data does not exist, so the supplier cannot provide it – no matter who asks it or why.
“By sharing more details on the requests we receive, we strive to offer greater transparency in the steps we take to protect our users,” noted IPVanish.
You can also head to the Trust Center for more information on IPVanish data management practices, all of its available tools and current initiatives. You will also find a similar resource directly on your iOS and Android VPN application.
