Islamabad: India should carry out simulated civil defense exercises on a large scale of tomorrow (Thursday) in four states along its border with Pakistan just a few weeks after the two countries reached a cease-fire after the military confrontation.

According to the Indian media, simulated exercises will be held in Jammu and Kashmir (Iiojk), Punjab and Gujarat, Punjab and Gujarat), the authorities announced.

The Haryana government has also announced an emergency preparation exercise at the state level entitled “Operation Shield”, scheduled for May 29 in the 22 districts from 5 p.m. (local time), aimed at increasing preparation in the event of crises.

The exercise, organized under the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Union (MHA), will simulate critical incidents such as air raids, drone attacks and other warning scenarios following national security problems, in accordance with Indian media.

In addition, a 15 -minute controlled power failure will be observed from 8 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. near vital installations, with the exception of essential emergency services such as hospitals, fire station and police stations.

Dr. Sumita Misra, additional chief secretary, Department of domicile, said: “The exercise aims to test existing emergency mechanisms, to improve coordination between civil administration, defense forces and local communities, and to identify the areas that must be reinforced, thus ensuring a rapid and effective response during any crisis.”

Earlier, a simulated state -of -scale exercise was carried out on May 7 shortly after the launch of air strikes in Pakistan, which struck civilian populations, including mosques, claiming a life of 26 civilians.

The ceasefire, announced by American president Donald Trump, came after Pakistan launched a reprisal action under “Operation Bunyan-UM-Marsoos” in response to missile and unrealing drones from India against Pakistani civilians and military sites.

Pakistan has shot down its six fighter planes, including three bursts and dozens of drones. After at least 87 hours, the war between the two nuclear nations ended on May 10 with a cease-fire agreement negotiated by the United States.

According to ISPR, a total of 53 people, including 13 staff of the armed forces and 40 civilians, were martyred in Indian strikes during the recent military confrontation.

The military confrontation between the two countries was launched by the attack last month in Jammu and Kashmir (Iiojk), was the subject of 26 tourists, accusing Pakistan for the attack without offering.
