The president of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, said that after having undergone a humiliating defeat on the battlefield, India also failed in its diplomatic campaign against Pakistan abroad, while Islamabad’s account prevailed on the international scene.
Bilawal led a delegation to the United States and Europe, appointed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, to present Islamabad’s point of view on the recent conflict with India.
The visit aimed to obtain international support, in particular from the European Union, in order to prevent a new escalation between the two nuclear neighbors.

Speaking after his return from the successful tour of Karachi after a warm welcome on Friday, Bilawal underlined the efforts of the delegation to transmit Pakistan’s message on peace, the cashmere, the industrial waters and the fight against terrorism during visits to New York, Washington DC, London, and Brussels.
He noted that during the conflict with India, although the first was “seven times greater”, the armed forces of Pakistan obtained a “humiliating defeat” for their opponent – a feat which, according to him, fulfilled the country of pride.
The president of the PPP said that Islamabad had overcome the efforts of India to undermine it at the diplomatic level, adding that the country had won the diplomatic battle thanks to tireless efforts.
“India has tried to succeed where it failed on the battlefield – by beating Pakistan on the narrative and diplomatic fronts – but I want to tell you that even on this front, Pakistan is out victorious and India failed.”

He said Pakistan stood on the side of the truth, while India was based on the lie-a contrast which, he said, was obvious in the international media, where the story of Pakistan has gained ground and that India was not resonating.
Recalling the skirmish last month with the neighboring country, he declared that the armed forces of Pakistan had shot down six Indian planes – a denial initially issued by India, but later conceded a month later.
Stressing that cashmere has remained the most important of Pakistan’s problem since the score, he stressed that Pakistan had lifted the voice of cashmere everywhere.
“Before the war, India’s position was that cashmere was a bilateral affair. Now they must recognize that it is no longer an internal but international problem.”

He also referred to the comments of US President Donald Trump, saying that the United States was ready to facilitate talks between Pakistan and India to resolve the cashmere dispute-a “historic success,” he said.
Turning to Pakistan’s water safety, he warned that the threat of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to restrict the River Indus rate – described as an unprecedented decision – would not be undisputed.
“Regarding the Indus, the PPP will lead the charge, whether national or international,” he said.

He has issued a severe warning to India: “You have two options: either to respect international law and the Industry Water Treaty, which allocates three rivers in Pakistan and three to India, or by facing another war – and the six rivers will be.”
Bilawal also asked why the national political actors, which he blamed for having encouraged hatred and division, was silent in the face of the threat of India water, insisting that these politicians had long been funded by India and accused them of raising sectarian slogans in Balutchistan and Sindh.
“The people of the Sindh will never forgive these political orphans for their silence today,” he added, referring to their apparent inaction on the threats of the river and water safety problems.
