On Friday, the Minister of Defense Khawaja informed the National Assembly on Friday that the recent drone attacks from India were intended for recognition rather than immediate strikes.
Speaking on the soil of the National Assembly, Khawaja Asif said that Indian drones were allowed to enter a “security limit” before intercepting and neutralizing them to avoid compromising sensitive locations.
He assured legislators that the armed forces were fully ready to respond to any escalation. “No one should doubt that our armed forces are fully engaged in the response to Indian assault,” he said. “We are 200% prepared for any situation,” added the Minister of Defense, noting high morale within the army.
He added that nations like China, Turkiye and Azerbaijan had expressed clear support in Pakistan.
Asif also said that the government was engaged in daily diplomatic contacts with countries such as Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, China and Qatar, in efforts to defuse the situation.

In addition, the chief of Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman condemned the Indian assault and expressed his support for the armed forces of Pakistan.
Addressing the National Assembly, he declared that India had targeted mosques, religious seminars and civil zones, which leads to victims.
He announced that the Jui-F observed “Youm-E-Dafa Watan” (defense of the homeland day) and shared plans of public gatherings in solidarity with the armed forces.
“A march is scheduled in Peshawar on May 11, followed by another in Quetta on May 15,” said head of Jui-F.
It should be noted here that the Pakistani army intercepted and destroyed 77 HAROP DRONES of Israeli manufacture, sent by India to target civil and military facilities, the Federal Minister of Information confirmed on Friday.
At least 29 drones were intercepted from Wednesday until Thursday evening, with an additional 48 in the night and Friday.
