India has warned of its hydroelectric terror

Islamabad:

The National Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution on Thursday, declaring that any decision of India to suspend the Water Treaty of the Indus (IWT) would be considered as an “act of war”.

The lower chamber also approved the 2025 draft of gas power plants, despite the opposition. The session, chaired by President Ayaz Sadiq, began with the opposition member Iqbal Afridi highlighting a lack of quorum, leading to a 15 -minute procedure suspension.

After questions, Federal Minister Ali Perviz Malik presented the 2025 Bill for 2025 gas electric power plants, which asked to impose a levy from electrical power plants in private basis.

The bill was adopted despite the opposition demonstrations. Initially, a tax of five percent will be imposed, which could increase to 10% and ultimately 20% in the following phases.

Later, the Federal Minister for Water Resources, Mian Moin Wattoo, filed a resolution condemning the reported decision of India to suspend the IWT. The resolution, adopted unanimously, said that such an action would be equivalent to a declaration of war and urged the government to take measures in this regard.

During the debate, the PTI legislator, Iqbal Afridi, warned that India had already faced its defeat and would face it again if it continued to engage in proxy war and terrorism.

Aijaz Jakhrani of PPP stressed the critical importance of water, declaring: “Water is life, and we will not compromise. Modi must hear this strong and clear.”

The lower room has also strongly sentenced the recent school bus attack to Khuzdar.

The Balutchistan National Assembly member Mian Khan Bugti said that India was involved in the Khuzdar school bus attack, promising to defeat the attorney supported by the Indians.

Meanwhile, in response to the notice of attention concerning the quality of food and alternative arrangements for hajj pilgrims, the federal minister Sardar Yousaf assured the chamber that the problems raised by the members would be treated quickly.

The session of the National Assembly was adjourned indefinitely.
