On Wednesday, the Federal Minister of Information and Radio, Attaullah Tarar said that India had raised white flags along the control line (LOC), which he interpreted as an admission of defeat following recent hostilities between the two countries.
Speaking at a press conference at the Pak-China Friendship Center in Islamabad, Tarar praised Pakistan Air Force (PAF) for a quick and proportional response to Indian air strikes. He said PAF had shot five Indian fighter planes and a drone that had entered the Pakistani territory.
The Minister said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif closely monitored the security situation and that the country’s political and military leaders were united to defend the sovereignty of Pakistan.
He firmly condemned the targeting of civil zones to Punjab and Azad Jammu and Kashmir during Indian strikes, qualifying the act of “very regrettable”.
Citing Indian media reports, he said that even Indian press segments have recognized the loss of military equipment. He added that the Pakistani nation remained united behind its armed forces and had offered prayers for their success.
Tarar has reiterated the long -standing position of Pakistan as a victim of terrorism, noting that more than 90,000 Pakistanis had lost their lives in related violence. He also referred to the Pakistan’s offer of an independent investigation into the pahalgam incident – an offer which, according to him, was rejected by India, which, according to him, reflected a reluctance to continue transparency.
He accused India of using propaganda to harm the international image of Pakistan and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace and regional stability.
The director general of inter-service public relations (DG ISPR), lieutenant-general Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, confirmed on Wednesday that 26 civilians were martyred and 46 others injured in Indian air strikes overnight of several civil zones through Pakistan.
Speaking during a briefing on Wednesday, the CEO ISPR said that India had made 24 air strikes in six different places inside Pakistani territory.
He said 13 people were martyred in the Ahmedpur East region of Bahawalpur. The deceased included two three -year -old girls, seven women and four men. In addition, 37 people were injured, including nine women and 28 men.
In a separate incident near Muzaffarabad, a strike from the Bilale mosque resulted in three deaths, while two children – a girl and a boy – suffered injuries, he added.
Another attack occurred in Kotli, where the Abbas mosque was targeted. Two teenagers, a 16 -year -old girl and an 18 -year -old boy were martyred. A woman and her daughter were also injured in the same incident.
He also declared that no victim had been reported to Sialkot or Shakargarh, although a dispensary in Shakargarh has undergone minor damage.
The military spokesman also confirmed that the Indian army pulling the control line has marted five civilians, including a five-year-old child.
The military spokesman added that India had deliberately targeted the mosques, describing it as a reflection of the extremist state of mind of the Hindé government of Narendra Modi, which, he said, systematically oppresses minorities-in particular Muslims.
He added that the Pakistani army had shot down five Indian fighter planes and a combat drone in response to an uninsured assault and airspace violations.
According to the military spokesperson, the slaughtered plane included three Rafale planes, a MIG-29, an airplane from the Surie series and an Israeli manufacturing drone. The jets were slaughtered in several places, including Bhatinda, Jammu, Akhoror, Srinagar and Avantipur.
“Pakistan Air Force only initiated these planes after having conducted attacks on Pakistani territory,” said CEO Ispr. “Their attack has targeted the territorial integrity of Pakistan and civil lives in danger,” he added.
