On Sunday, an Indycar NXT race in Mid-Ohio was the scene of a horrible accident between Ricardo Escotto and Sebastian Murray.
Escotto and Murray were running in Tour 4 a tour 4 when the right front wheel of Escotto hit the left rear wheel of Murray. Murray turned in front of Escotto and hit the wall at a terrifying speed. The Murray vehicle made a backflip before stopping.

Indycar NXT officials stirred the red flag to suspend the race. The two drivers Andretti seemed to be OK after being checked at the interior care center.
“It was super unhappy. I don’t really know what happened,” said Murray later. “I’m just happy that everyone is doing well. Obviously, apologies to the team. It was a good weekend so far and we hoped to go up our way, but things happen. We are going to move forward.”
Escotto was not satisfied with Murray and described the crash as “very scary”.

“Just frustrated and very angry. It took me a lot to be contained and try to calm down,” he said. “It was a very unhappy incident, especially having my teammate next to me. It is bad that we were in this situation because, at the end of the day, we should not run like that. We were on the straight line and he moved and obviously contacted like that.
“Our race is very close, very narrow, and if you make a mistake like that, it just comes from that.”
Dennis Hauger won the race, the fifth of the season.
Murray is 10th and Escotto is 13th in the Indycar NXT classification.
