While Newgarden went to Foster, he took the air and turned into a terrifying accident. He landed on his roof and slipped on the track. Indycar security officials immediately jumped over the barrier who separated the road from the stands to check it.

Foster spoke to Fox Sports of the wreckage after his release from the Infield Care Center.

“I had a little eating … I became a little too high and I went into the balls,” said Foster. “I just couldn’t prevent the car from shooting and, obviously, a fairly scary impact with myself and Josef. I’m glad he is fine.”
