Four years after its initial announcement, we still don’t know when Marvel’s Wolverine is launched and Insomniac Games still cannot confirm if it will be released in 2025.
News recently broke that Insomniac founder and CEO Ted Price would be stepping down after more than 30 years. Following the announcement, new studio co-heads Ryan Schneider, Chad Dezern and Jen Huang sat down with Variety to discuss the change in leadership as well as what’s next for the company.
While Chad Dezern talked about Insomniac’s next superhero game, Marvel’s Wolverinethe co-lead still wasn’t able to provide any juicy details about it or an idea of when players can expect to get their hands on it.
“We announced Wolverineand we would like to talk more about it Wolverinebut we have to be like Logan today and stay very stoic until it’s time to put our claws on the road,” Dezern said.
“As much as we’re excited, we’ve got to hang on to it. So that’s about all we could say about our upcoming plans today.”
Marvel’s Wolverine was announced in 2021 with a short trailer, but development updates have been quiet since. Following a cyberattack in December 2023 which gave rise to numerous leaks, the studio published a press release on the situation while confirming that the game “continues as planned” and “is in early production and will undoubtedly evolve greatly throughout development. like all our projects.
