You could say that love is in the air because Valentine’s Day is tomorrow, February 14. Similar to special Easter eggs deployed before ringing in 2025, Instagram entered the mind and diffuses a little love.
Between the special effects for sharing “notes”, personalized history stickers and pure and simple themes for the DMS, you can participate in a Valentine’s Day action, whether or not you are in a relationship. Although similar to the great debate by Blue vs Green Bubbles, some of these limited -term features are exclusive to this with iOS.
The kick -off is a special treat for the “notes” functionality of Instagram, which acts essentially as a status on your behalf. It is a place to share a thought, a call for action or a message of love for your disciples if you are in the spirit of Valentine’s Day. Certain words or sentences such as “pookie”, “ily”, or simply “vday” will allow a special visual effect. Think of the arrow of a cupid via your note, a color change of the bubble, or hearts filling your screen.
These are quite fun, and Instagram nicknamed these “secret sentences in the notes”. If you are a fan of DMS (direct messages) or group cats, you can define the atmosphere with three new themes: candy hearts, love or lovers. If you want to pass a potential passage at the next level, you can slip into someone’s DMS with a theme. The results can however vary.
Beyond the themes, you can give another account on Instagram a personalized nickname – think of “bestie” – and there are few new types of reaction beyond the double press to love a message that someone sent .
We can say that what is more exciting are the new features of the stories. On the one hand, there are new types of fonts and effects on the theme of Valentine’s Day.
