- The biggest news fell from Jennie and Doechi because you can share music now
Of course, Instagram DMS could be better known as you could take your cliché with someone or send coils to friends with common interests, but Meta wants them to be used as a basic messaging service. This is at least what we think that this large enough extension for Instagram DMS, which takes place now, indicates.
Only a few days after starting the possibility of giving another user a timed nickname at Valentine’s Day, Instagram deploys four major improvements to his DMS. Starting with the possibility of planning a message, what I was surprised was not already there. Instagram now plays to catch up with people like Imessage – who only obtained this feature in iOS 18 – Messenger and Whatsapp.
In Instagram, however, you can now write a message – emojis, gifs and everything – and plan it to be sent later for individual or group messages. You can plan one up to 29 days in the future, which could be fruitful if you have to be sure that an important message will be sent, as for the birthday of a friend or birthday with a loved one.
In addition, Instagram knows that its platform is global and that you could send a message to someone in another language. And rather than copying this message to another application or the web for a translation, you can now translate a message in 99 different languages on Instagram. You can do this by holding the message for a long time and selecting the Translate option. This could be quite practical.
Then, we were all there when group messages are occupied – this can be a constant attack on new elements to read, and other messages or shared elements can be lost in the mix. Instagram has a fix, well, at least one that could help, because you can now pin up to three messages at the top of an individual or group cat. So, if you plan a weekend with friends, you can get the essential details at the top.
Considering that Instagram already integrates music into stories and allows you to share an adorable vinyl record that turns with illustrations, it was only a matter of time before the arrival of this functionality in messages. The result is that you can share your favorite songs with your friends in a person or group message and listen to the song simultaneously.
You also don’t need to navigate to Apple Music or Spotify to find the track because you can search for your favorite songs online from a new contextual menu. It is similar to the selection of a song to share on stories or as a music for a coil. Instagram has actually been associated with Jennie and Doechi to unveil this functionality.
All this accumulates to make messaging in DMS a little more transparent but also to keep you more in Instagram rather than navigating to other applications. In addition, Instagram also allows you to generate a QR code so that another user can easily join a group cat by simply scan it.
Let us know what your favorite feature of this Instagram DM drop is in the comments below, but in the meantime, I will share new music in a DM with my friends.
