The chief minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, ordered the adoption of zero tolerance against the violation of a code of conduct to ensure peace during Muharram. President of a meeting, she ordered an immediate arrest of anyone who was involved in the propagation of hateful content on social networks.
The chief minister ordered the authorities concerned to assert the ban on demonstrating banners, posters and Chalking on the wall throughout the province. She also ordered an immediate arrest of those who violated the ban on flying drones during Muharram.
She directed the provincial ministers, the commissioners, the assistant commissioners, the RPOs and the DPOs to supervise the arrangements for the occasion and contact the religious scholars for this purpose.
Head Minister Maryanm Nawaz ordered Punjab Safe Cities Author to make surveillance cameras out of order. She also ordered the special surveillance unit to monitor and report on the content of hatred.
She ordered the authorities to launch safety arrangements exercises and install “Sabels” uniformly for Muharram gatherings for the distribution of refreshing drinks, lemonade and cold water bottles.
It was agreed at the meeting to install iron balustrades for safety during processions and gatherings.
The chief minister has published directives to sprinkle water to protect participants from gatherings from severe heat and humidity as well as other stages to protect them from heat strokes.
She ordered the establishment of hospitals and field clinics on the wheels along the Ashura procession routes as well as an efficient traffic management plan and advice. It also called for provisions to provide a timely drainage of water in the event of precipitation.
The chief minister also ordered the activation of the hotel and web applications for traveling travel, the continuation of the combing operations and the acquisition of an anti-drone system.
She said that the SOPs for the occasion should be implemented in the letter and the mind.
She said that the suspended electric wires had a great risk and that they should be removed urgently. There should not be any power failure during the remover that should not be extinguished, she added.
“It is our greatest responsibility to safeguard the country and the nation of hatred, prejudices and disunity. Division and hatred are toxic to the new generation and we want to eliminate the whole price.
It is difficult to take effective and lasting measures to eradicate hatred and prejudices, “she said.
