- Intellectualizing marketing roles with accenture and artificial intelligence
- CEO of the LIP-BU company Tan pushes the structural cuts to accelerate operations
- Marketing staff can help form replacements as the layoffs are planned
Intel began to inform its marketing staff that many of their roles will be outsourced to Accenture, who will use artificial intelligence to manage parts of Intel marketing efforts, potentially propelled by the own Intel processors.
This decision is part of the broader plan of the CEO LIP-BU Tan to revise operations, reduce costs and accelerate decision-making.
Intel revealed its plans with a declaration describing Accenture as “a long -standing partner and a trusted leader” and declared that he widens this relationship, the employees affected by July 11.
Important changes to team structures
“The transition of our marketing and operating functions will result in significant changes in team structures, including potential workforce reductions, with only remaining Lean teams,” Intel wrote in a staff notice. The company has not revealed how many employees could be affected by the cuts.
Intel added: “We focus on the modernization of our digital capacities to better serve our customers and strengthen our brand.”
Intel describes the transition to accenture as a means of rationalizing marketing work.
“We have to change our model” to go to the market “to be more sensitive to what customers want,” the company said to its marketing team. “We have received comments according to which our decision -making is too slow, our programs are too complex and that our competitors evolve more quickly.”
Intel is struggling to regain the ground after losing market share on PCs, data centers and AI fleas. Its sales have dropped approximately a third in recent years.
“We associate ourselves with Accenture to take advantage of AI -centered technologies with the objectives of moving faster, simplifying processes and reflecting best practices, while managing our expenses,” said Employees, adding that certain staff members could be invited to train their replacements during the transfer period.
A few days earlier, manufacturing employees have been warned that up to 20% of their jobs could be reduced in July 2025.
