At Computex 2025, Maxsun has unveiled a new striking entry into the AI material space: the GPU Intel Arc Pro B60, a graphics card combining two 24 GB B60 fleas for a 48 GB of combined memory.
Servethehomeclaims Maxsun plans these cards feeding the dense workstation built with up to four per system, which gives up to 192 GB of GPU memory in a desktop class machine.
This development seems to have the implicit approval of Intel, suggesting that the company seeks to gain ground on the GPU AI market.
A GPU double card designed for IA memory requests
The Arc Pro B60 Dual GPU is not designed for games. Instead, it focuses on AI, graphics and virtualization tasks, offering a powerful profile in power.
Each card is between 240W and 300W, keeping power and thermal requests at hand for standard workstations configurations.
Unlike certain alternatives, this card uses a blowing style cooler rather than a passive solution, which helps it remain compatible with conventional workstation designs. This counts for users who want high -end performance without building personalized cases or cooling systems.
However, architecture has compromises. The card is based on X8 PCIe channels by GPU, branched out from an X16 connector. This simplifies design and installation but limits the bandwidth compared to complete X16 cards.
Each GPU also includes a single display and an HDMI output. This design choice maintains the manageable multi-GPU configurations and avoids hitting the limits at the OS level, the old Windows versions, for example, may have trouble managing more than 32 active display outputs in a single system.
The most intriguing function of the card can be its price. With B60 Single-GPU cards starting around $ 375 PDSF, the Double-GPU version could land nearly $ 1,000.
If this estimate is valid, the Maxsun card would represent a major change in value. By way of comparison, RTX 6000 ADA of Nvidia, with the same 48 GB of VRAM, sells more than $ 5,500. Two of these cards can push costs north of $ 18,000.
Despite this, Intel’s performance in professional applications remain an open question. Many creation professionals always favor Nvidia for its mature pilots and better optimization of software.
