Interior Minister arrives in Italy

ISLAMABAD:

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has arrived in Italy for an important visit during which he will meet interior ministers of three countries. According to Express News, the interior ministers of Italy, Greece and Spain will meet Mohsin Naqvi.

The interior ministers of Italy, Greece and Spain will recognize the efforts of the Ministry of Interior of Pakistan to combat illegal immigration.

According to a statement, a Punjab police officer will brief home ministers about the Khidmat Markaz Global police initiative of the Punjab government, which has been appreciated across Europe. Other important issues will also be discussed in detail at the meeting of interior ministers.

Under the new Spanish residency program, eligible overseas Pakistanis will initially be issued one-year residency cards with a pathway to permanent residency and citizenship available after seven to eight years.
