- iOS 18.5 has just launched iphone users
- There are some new features in the upgrade, including one for the iPhone 13
- iOS 18.5 also contains more than 30 safety corrections, so update your device now
Apple has just released iOS 18.5, and it comes with a series of new features to improve all the best iPhones with which it is compatible. This is not a huge update in terms of new additions, but it is important to download, as it contains more than 30 vital safety fixes.
In terms of new features, one of the most notable is a change in the screen time. This can be used by parents to control the way their child uses an iPhone, and it allows you to set limits for access to applications and more. Parents will now be alerted if their child has successfully entered a password to delete screening restrictions.
Elsewhere, iOS 18.5 deploys the satellite services provided by operators – such as the collaboration of T -Mobile with Starlink – at the iPhone 13, which was not compatible with these features.
Apple has also changed the messaging application to facilitate the search for a few common checks. The Settings Application now has your Applecare +information more in evidence, while Apple has also published a new Pride Harmony wallpaper for its devices.
Security updates in Gogo
It is usually a good idea to update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS to get new features and safety fixes. But the iOS 18.5 update really highlights the importance of putting your device on the new software, as it wraps more than 30 security fixes that will help protect your Apple phone.
Many fixes listed on the Apple website aim to prevent hackers from accessing your private data. For example, a correction prevents attackers with physical access to your iPhone and the NOTES application to view documents on the lock screen. Another corrects a flaw that would allow bad players to listen to the deleted call recordings.
Elsewhere, iOS 18.5 addresses a bug which would not always be changed properly (which could reveal sensitive information on a call), while the history of the calls of the deleted applications will no longer appear in projectors’ research.
Bluetooth security has also been strengthened and the sharing of iCloud documents has been tightened to prevent attackers from sharing files without authentication. There are also webkit fixes, service of service attacks, basic graphic bugs, out -of -limits vulnerabilities, and more.
Interestingly, iOS 18.5 also contains the first known correction for Apple’s new C1 Modem chip, which is currently only available in the iPhone 16th. There, iOS 18.5 now stops pirates who have entered your wireless operator accessing network traffic.
Fortunately, it does not seem that the bugs and vulnerabilities that Apple has corrected have been actively exploited, unlike the fixes issued in iOS 18.3.2 and iOS 18.4.1. But that does not reach the importance of installing the iOS 18.5 update, because the more secure your device, the less likely you have to undergo pirate and bad actors in the future.
Aside iOS 18.5, Apple has also published security updates for older Macs and iPads. Specific versions – MacOS 13.7.6, MacOS 14.7.6 and iPados 17.7.7 – are available for Apple products which have not been updated to the latest operating systems, whether due to material limits or business policies. You can find out exactly what has been corrected in these updates by browsing the Apple security versions page.
Returning to iOS 18.5, there are many more security fixes than we have listed here on the Apple website, so make sure you have a reading if you want to know what Patch update. Combined with the new features that have also been added, it is a significant update for your iPhone.
